At Hearts, we have learned the value of collaboration to solve our greatest challenges. However, with social media, our world has become a much smaller planet just by the mere fact that within an instant you can talk to anyone, anywhere around the world. You can learn what the weather is in Singapore, whether or not stocks are doing well in Hong Kong, or if it would be a good idea to invest some leisure time in Greece.
When you come across stats like if Facebook were its own country it would be the third largest in the world, we have to ask ourselves: How is new media and technology going to create solutions in our local community? Because social media and our interconnected technology are at its infant stage, the room to grow is infinite!
It is fascinating all that has happened within the last few decades, when only 100 years ago the newest technologies were the zipper, lipstick, and the refrigerator. Now looking forward, how will technology shape our future?

Co+Hoots and Hearts will join this Social Good Conversation along with 32,726 global citizens residing in 1,725 communities dispersed across 400 cities, and still counting. We will be joining together from every corner of the planet, each to share their different perspectives of their experiences with technology.
